After School Club

Education Doesn't Stop In The Classroom

We offer a variety of after school options for children from Year 1 to Year 9. The format of these sessions follows the timings of other after school clubs. They are tailored to coordinate with the schools’ individual term dates.

Sessions always begin with a short comedy warm up to shake off the boundaries of the school day followed by improvisational games. For the older children, workshops end in a sketch which is rehearsed in groups and performed to the class.

These clubs are an opportunity for kids to mingle between school year groups. They can be seen differently from how they may be perceived by their peers in the classroom. Above all, they will gain confidence and performance skills.

Picture being cheered on to be the silliest, not the smartest, the cheekiest, not the politest – to revel in being wonderfully, wildly yourself!

What's been said...

“Laura Lawson and her School of Comedy brought a burst of sunshine to our curriculum. The children don’t just learn comedy—they live it, breathe it, and laugh it. Even the shyest kids became confident performers, embracing spontaneity and building lifelong confidence. Laura’s unique blend of structured learning and creativity kept the students inspired. The joy and confidence she instills in our students is unparalleled. If you want your children to experience the true essence of comedy and grow through laughter, Laura is your go-to guru!” Jonny Timms, Walhampton Preparatory School

Kids Testimonials

Mariella Fostrup – Journalist

It’s wonderful to witness the confidence they inspire among the kids and the sense of team work that pervades the show. School of Comedy is my daughter’s favourite club.

Kirsty Lang – Journalist

My son struggles with his academic work. His self-confidence would have suffered were it not for the School of Comedy, which has cultivated his natural sense of humour and given him the courage to get up on stage and perform in front of strangers.

Will Poulter – Actor

School of comedy changed my life and gave me so many opportunities

Emma Freud – Broadcaster

The most special confidence building after school club.

Cast of Horrible Histories

We can’t believe how brilliant these children are.  Being on stage with them was a pleasure.
