Why building rapport is important
We will explore how success in the workplace is often defined by how we succeed collectively. Participants will discuss their experiences of rapport building and consider the barriers preventing good communication.
Psychological obstacles
Through a series of questions, we will challenge our negative internal voices, looking at Imposter Syndrome and limiting self beliefs. We will find ways to challenge these behaviours, thoughts and feelings to allow you to feel more confident and capable.
How to overcome nerves
Participants will explore why we feel shy and how to combat this through exercises in the breath, body and voice.
Active listening
We will look at how active listening nurtures a deeper connection to others. In groups, participants will practice listening in an insightful and supportive way.
Effective questioning
We will offer techniques to engage in meaningful conversation and how to use effective questioning.
How to create trust in relationships
We will look at a communication model that encourages participants to step out of their communication comfort zone to become more authentic.
Roleplay
Each participant will have the chance to practice their new skills, meeting someone they think they would find challenging to communicate with. They will learn new ways of engaging through practice and feedback.
